West Virginia lists only two on the link above, indicating a clear need for more protection for horses in a state that prides itself on the success of its racing industry. At our inception, we pledge to do all that we can to make sure no horse is left behind when the races are over. Horse races are fast, over and done in no time. But horse care is slow, arduous labor that requires deep commitment to our equine loved ones. Right now, we are at the starting gate, preparing ourselves for the long marathon on behalf of the horses and this is a race we cannot lose.
